“It has the look of being in the Fan.”

It's got a great feel to it. It has the look of being in the Fan, but the ease and convenience of being in a suburban part of town.

“Where you can live, work, and play.”

What we're seeing at Libbie Mill – Midtown is the general trend where larger American cities are heading, and that is to have an environment to where you can live, work, and play without ever having to get in the car and leave.

 — Josh Williams, Gumenick Properties

"The idea of Midtown says it all. It's midway between downtown and the western suburbs, making it 15 minutes from virtually anywhere in the region."

— Wayne Chasen, Gumenick Properties

“It's convenient.”

Convenience today is about being able to live near where you work, go to dinner, or shop. It's only now that we're finding a new understanding of what it's like to live in a place where it's convenient to do all these things.

— Andrew Bleckley, Cite Design

“Collaborative space.”

They've built a collaborative space that also has a collaborative area to walk around. You can't get that downtown. You can walk around, but you're going to walk around among the skyscrapers.

“This special beautiful place.”

I was the manager at the previous Henrico County Library location, and many people did not want us to move. When they see the new Libbie Mill Library, they come to me and say, “I totally get it.” When people walked in when we first opened, their eyes widened and they just couldn't believe that this place, this special beautiful place, was for them.

— Deborah Lammers, Manager, Henrico County Library at Libbie Mill

“It's like a little oasis.”

I personally come to Libbie Mill all the time. I spend Saturdays in the morning at the lake with my kids — I love the great outdoor atmosphere that they've created. It's like a little oasis back here, where you can quickly get everywhere and you're not dealing with Short Pump or downtown traffic.
